Following a very succesful season of competing in sprints and hill climbs, Richard Houlgate has won Class 4 of the Vintage Sports Car Club’s 2017 Speed Championship. An accomplished trials driver an Austin 7 and a Marlin, Richard competes in speed events with his 1930 Lea-Francis Hyper Replica, which is built on a W-Type chassis, 18123. The photo above, taken by Mark Ballard, shows Richard at Harewood Speed Hill Climb on his way to a win in Class 4 with a time of 82.53 seconds.
