The Club’s main annual event is held in June based in the area around Broughton Castle near Banbury, with a run or other event on the Saturday followed by the Club’s annual dinner and then an assembly with a concours and a driving test on the Sunday.

This year the weekend’s events will start with a lunchtime meeting from 12 noon on Saturday 8 June 2019, at The White Horse Inn, Daisy Hill, Duns Tew, Bicester, OX25 6JS

Following the popularity of last year’s event there will once again be the option of competing in a Scatter Rally on Saturday afternoon. This will start from The White Horse Inn. The rally will involve using basic navigation skills and an OS map to identify and drive to specific locations, where you will need to find the answers to questions to earn points. There will be different classes for Experts and Novices and for Lower Ford Street and Much Park Street cars. To take part in the Scatter Rally you will need to be an LFOC member and register for the event in advance. Please email the Chairman and you will be sent the initial instructions and an Entry Form. As a minimum requirement, you will need to have a a map, a navigator and motor insurance that covers you for such competitive events.

All cars should be at The Holt Hotel by 4pm and we will hold a much shortened AGM at 5pm. The format of the AGM will be as last year with Club office holders providing a written report in the June LeaFlet and, at the AGM members will be provided with a summary of the state of the Club, including the latest Accounts and Membership numbers. Members will then be invited to elect the committee and discuss key matters of interest and answer any questions raised. If there is a particular item that you would like included on the Agenda for the AGM, please could you notify Stephen Chittock, our Club Secretary, in advance if possible.

Following the AGM, and pre-dinner drinks, we will move into the dining room for our dinner during which we will hand out the prizes for the Scatter Rally.

On Sunday 9 June we will, as usual, be based at Broughton Castle Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX15 5EB, where there will be the usual concours, driving tests and prize giving.

The Lea-Francis Owners’ Club is registered with the “motorsport uk” for the purpose of holding competitions.

The Lea-Francis Owners’ Club AGM 2019

As detailed above this will be held at 5pm on Saturday 8 June 2019 at The Holt Hotel, Oxford Road, Bicester, OX25 5QQ immediately before the Club dinner.
